Mark Wohlfarth,  Oakland, California
EnTeam Board President
Occupation: Vice President, Teleco Sales, Red Hat, IBM Subsidiary

Mark Wohlfarth works in software sales and has degrees in Economic Theory/International Relations, Russian & East European Studies and Business. He is passionate about EnTeam because of the lessons he has learned about the importance of developing win-win skills in his business career.

“I love competitive sports — there are so many life skills that they teach. When I started my business career, though, I quickly realized that the us-against-them model of competitive sports really doesn’t apply in many aspects of life. This is particularly true in sales, where the only way you benefit is if your customer or partner benefits. I joined the EnTeam Board because I support the mission of bringing the same discipline we have in competitive games to the field of cooperation. I love seeing the impact that EnTeam has on young people and their families and communities.”

Mark currently serves as the President of the EnTeam Board of Directors and is a member of the Sustainability Committee.

David (Deke) Karzon has been supporting the EnTeam Organization since before it existed — he wrote the founding documents: bylaws and articles of incorporation.  During the two decades he was on the Board of Directors, Deke served as Board President and encouraged research on the impact of EnTeam Games in the classroom. One study showed that the number of students who passed the state exam in 8th grade science doubled when lessons were taught with EnTeam Games.
