Give students an equal balance of experiences winning on a win-win basis and winning on a win-lose basis.

CORE BELIEFS

Scoring cooperative performance encourages competition against impersonal opponents such as time, distance, common problems (in contrast with competition against people).

As we learn to keep score of cooperative performance, we gain a valuable tool to build productivity and peace.

We benefit from practice with both types of competition, and both types of competition are valuable and necessary for balanced development.
